Kibonen Nfi, a luminary in the global fashion arena, draws inspiration from her Cameroonian heritage, West African fabrics, and New York’s vibrant fashion scene. She pioneered the revolution of  Cameroon’s traditional Toghu attire into contemporary masterpieces that echo African stories and history. Her journey is marked by impeccable craftsmanship and a fusion of cultures, making bold statements through fashion.

Featured in prestigious publications like Vogue,  Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan, Essence, Elle, Humans of New York,Google Arts and Culture, The New African Woman and Forbes Africa, Kibonen captivated the hearts of global icons such as Lupita Nyong’o, WizKid ft Drake Music video, Gayle King, and Justine Skye to name a few. Having graced New York Fashion Week, Kibonen proudly represents Cameroon internationally and has also showcased at prestigious events like the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange at the Buckingham Palace. She shares her insights at esteemed institutions like NYU, Columbia, Wharton and Cornell Universities. 

Returning to Cameroon in 2015, she founded Made in Camer and in 2020,  co-founded the Cameroon Clothing Company, fostering economic development. As founder of her recent venture the Kibonen Sustainable Creative Hub (KiSCH), she aims to establish a transformative institution in Cameroon, blending training and development with community empowerment in a vertically integrated model. Kibonen also pioneers African fashion advocacy, as co-founder of the African Fashion Council and a member of AfreximBank’s Creative Africa Advisory Group.  Kibonen Nfi embodies more than fashion; she is a visionary storyteller, empowering communities and elevating African craftsmanship globally. Her journey inspires a new generation to boldly pursue their passions and effect change through fashion.
